This years Air Reunion was held in Calgary on May 2, 2008.
IT was a big hit! Representatives from Airlines, ATS (ATC, FSS, etc.), General aviation and Military.Pilots, A/C owners and maintenance Engineers, Environment Canada, Flight Attendants, Office staff, Refueller's and anyone that was, or is still involved in any aspect of aviation was welcome to attend as well as their spouses and partners.
This event is not only for retiree's, but for all age's to gather, reunite and have fun. This years event was held at the "Aero Space Museum Calgary",Calgary, Alberta, fom 3 pm to 9 pm. It was a Standup cocktail event with... Cash Bar & Finger-food.
As always Jim Hall did a fabulous job of handing all of the registrations. A lot of attendees thoroughly enjoyed a complete tour of the museum and entertainment that the Museum provides for their visitors.
All in all, a perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends in the aviation world and make new friends.
One of the lovely new faces in the room was Leslie Middleton. Leslie is the PR Director for Calgary's hottest new restraunt The FLIGHT DECK (which has an amazing menu and is conveniently located within minutes from the YYC airport.) Try it out and you will definitely return ! The Flight deck also put on a delicious brunch Saturday May 3 at 11:00 a.m.
Thanks to all who worked so hard to make this event a success again this year. We look forward to seeing you all and more new friends next year.
